Municipality of Barleben

The centrally located Vierseithof estate in Barleben was formerly owned by the municipal council. It had been neglected for years, but fortunately the council decided to restore the estate and reinstate its central role in village life.

After time-consuming and expensive work the old mansion and stables have become a new and attractive central point in the town, with a sports hall, restaurant and other public spaces. Naturally, the plants in and design of the courtyard were adapted to the ambience.

The heart of the design is three candelabra Platanus acerifolia with a trunk size of 80-90. In combination, these sycamores and various other plants emphasise the historic nature of the estate.

BMW Berlin
A Zeppelin hangar was rented in Berlin for the show. Van den Berk was commissioned to decorate the hall with large trees in containers.

Bundesgartenschau Rostock

Van den Berk contributed to the Dutch entry by supplying Alnus Spaethii and sophora japonica in larges sizes

Neckermann retourcentrum, Frankfurt am Main

Van den Berk supplied all the plants. Of special interest are the Crataegus lavalleei 'Carrierei' at the front and the Quercus robur 'Fastigiata' arranged in a manner that draws the eye towards the logistics department
